Your friendly, positive roundup of what’s happening in Regina

Good morning, Regina!

We hope you had a fantastic weekend! Whether you braved the cold for a skate at Wascana, cheered on the Pats at the Brandt Centre, or just stayed in with a hot chocolate and a good book, we hope you’re feeling recharged.

The last week of January is upon us, and while the deep freeze is still lingering, the days are noticeably getting a little bit longer. We have a busy week ahead with mid-week hockey, theatre productions in full swing, and plenty of excuses to get out of the house.

Let’s get your week started right!

Residential Snow Clearing Update

If your street is looking a little snowy after the weekend, keep an eye out for the graders. The City of Regina crews are continuing their winter maintenance cycles. Make sure to check the "Know Your Zone" map to see when your neighborhood is scheduled for clearing so you don't get a ticket!

Regina Pats: Mid-Week Matchup

After a busy weekend at the Brandt Centre, the Regina Pats are gearing up for a mid-week clash. They face the Prince Albert Raiders this Wednesday night. It’s a great opportunity to break up the work week with some live WHL action.

Winter Fun at Wascana

Despite the chill, Wascana Centre remains the hub of winter activity. The skating rink is operational, and the cross-country ski trails are groomed. If you need to shake off the "Monday Blues," a quick lunch-hour walk or an evening skate might be just the ticket.

Science Centre for Adults

If you think the Science Centre is just for kids, think again. This Thursday is another "Adult Science Night." It’s a 19+ event that lets you explore the exhibits with a drink in hand and without dodging school field trips. It’s always a popular date night or friend outing.

New Art at the MacKenzie

The MacKenzie Art Gallery has fresh exhibitions open for viewing. If you’re looking for a quiet, warm place to spend an afternoon, the gallery (and its coffee shop, Craft Services) offers a perfect winter refuge. They also have "Gallery Lates" this Thursday if you work the usual 9-5 during the day.

Warm Up with Local Coffee

It is cold out there. This week, we encourage you to skip the drive-thru line and step inside a local cafe. Whether you are downtown, in the Cathedral area, or the Warehouse District, our local baristas are serving up the best hot lattes and London Fogs to keep you going.

Try this: Check out the Regina Downtown directory to find a coffee shop near your office you haven't tried yet.
