Bell (through a Saskatchewan-numbered company) has filed for rezoning to support a proposed data centre near Regina in the RM of Sherwood. The plan describes a ~160-acre site and an initial ~91,000 sq. ft. first phase. The project is framed as “critical digital infrastructure” that could support big local needs like connectivity for institutions and major employers. If it moves ahead, this is the kind of development that can bring long-term construction work, specialized jobs, and new demand for local services, while also raising the usual community questions about land use and infrastructure.

The Hospitals of Regina Foundation’s Spring Lottery is back with a $1.8M grand-prize showhome in Emerald Park and $50,000 cash. The launch story outlines what the lottery supports locally, including fundraising priorities tied to hospital care and upgrades in Regina, and it highlights key ticket dates and deadlines This is one of the city’s biggest annual fundraising moments and a lot of people plan their spring “ticket buys” around it, especially if they want in before early-bird deadlines.

Regina Food Bank names an interim CEO

The Regina Food Bank has appointed Evelyn Cerda as interim CEO, effective Feb. 24, as the organization begins a leadership transition and searches for a permanent replacement. The announcement focuses on continuity and keeping momentum on partnerships and food support work across the city. The Food Bank is a major local hub for hunger relief, and leadership transitions matter, especially heading into late winter, when demand can remain high and community support is still crucial.
