Regina 25 Is Back! Your Nomination Could Put Someone in the Spotlight

We’ve covered this in a previous edition of QCD and it’s worth mentioning again. After a powerful first year that drew strong community support and over 150 nominations, the Regina 25 is returning in May 2026 to honour the next wave of leaders shaping the city's future. The grassroots initiative is inviting residents to nominate individuals who embody Regina's ambition, generosity and get-it-done spirit, recognizing local leaders across five categories: Growers, Game-Changers, Grassroots, Quick Studies and Mentors. Nominations close March 29 and are open to anyone who calls Regina home, including a category specifically for those who are new to the city.

Think about who deserves the spotlight, then go to TheRegina25.com and make it happen. Applications close March 29th

Downtown Parking Is Changing April 1. Here's What Will Change

If you park downtown regularly, pay attention to this one. City council has approved changes to Regina's parking bylaw taking effect April 1. higher parking rates, higher fines, and the end of traditional downtown parking meters. The city is encouraging drivers to use the PayByPhone app going forward. If you'd rather stick with cash, prepaid parking vouchers will be available, validated by scratching off the date and time. Businesses will also be able to validate parking for customers through the system. Two weeks to get familiar with how it works before the change kicks in.

Starting April 1, 2026, on-street parking vouchers can be purchased at City Hall in packs of five for $13.75
